From child to adult, it always applies. We live in The Odd Days for the rest of our lives!
First debuted in the fall of 2018 in Knoxville, TN ~ The Odd Days was formed by Knoxville native James Connor Lane. James started writing songs at the age of 12, while starting to play music with his brother Alan Garcia. James still plays with Alan in Civil Strife. After laying low due to the pandemic since 2020, the band is now making an official return in 2024!
It was an honor to come back strong at East TN Heart Fest 2024 in Oak Ridge, TN to help raise funds for children's congenital heart disease, a cause that means a lot to the band personally. Next up, we're supporting Asheville, NC based band YAWNi at Corner Lounge on Friday, May 3rd! More shows coming this summer!
James Lane A.K.A. Jimi Owens was co-host with Alan Garcia in Knoxville's Sunsphere from 2022-23 on the online radio show Knoxville Noise Pollution. After the station went down, the show has continued as a zine, publishing new issues monthly. The Odd Days are still heavily involved with K.N.P. working to help connect artists all around the country!
James is our frontman, singer/songwriter, and guitarist! Come see The Odd Days in action this spring and summer of 2024!
Alan, James' brother, will be back in action rocking the bass with The Odd Days!
Brandon is taking over the drums in 2024! We're happy to jam with him; perhaps we'll continue working together in the future?!
Check out our latest clip. This was from December 8th, 2023 for a special show as "Alan Garcia & The Odd Birds". James Lane is on the drum kit (since Alan and Sean suck at drums) and this is one of our softer tunes. But The Odd Days will be bringing more content very soon, showing our heavier side along with much more as James takes the guitar! Stay tuned, but until then, enjoy this clip we currently have for you: "Katelyn's Song".
